Seasonal Crops

You can use a Seasonal Calendar to check the current season, crops that do not belong to the current season can be planted but wont grow, only crops that belong to the current season can grow, it doesnt matter if it is early, mid or late season.

Plant Crops Out of Season

Placing glass blocks on top of the crops will make them grow regardless of the season, you can build a small greenhouse to plant your crops at anytime.

Fertile season for a Crop

If you hover over food that comes from soil, a sapling or a seed you will be able to see in its description the fertile(s) season(s) for it.
