Learn about the new Stronghold

You can locate The Stronghold using any eye from the Legendary Quest; normal Eyes of Ender will not know the way, nor will they be useful to open the portal. The End Frames of the portal might already have some normal Eyes of Ender placed on them. This doesn’t mean that you can place Eyes of Ender in the frame, but these actually do help in opening the portal.

This also means that you might not need to collect 12 out of the 16 eyes to open the portal to the End. Instead, it is recommended that when you find one of the eyes and feel prepared enough to find the Stronghold, you check the portal to know how many eyes you need. It is important to note that every time you find one of these eyes, you will have a big reward of EXP waiting for you to be claimed at any time in your quest book. Additionally, the loot at the location of these eyes is the best you will find during your adventure.
