Jessey, we need to cook

Craft and place a Crock Pot, then add any fuel—such as coal, wood, or logs—to its fuel slot. Next, choose a recipe from JEI by searching @CrockPot , next fill the 4 slots for food with the respective mix of ingredients and wait until your food is ready.

How to Read a Recipe

Recipes from Crockpot will ask for various ingredients, these can be a specific Ingredient or any Ingredient from some category.

A recipe must reach a certain requirement of Food Value and this must be met for every Food Category in the recipe, these instructions will use symbols such as "greater than" (>), "less than" (<), and "less than or equal to" (≤) to easily show the requirements.

Examples

To make it easier to understand we will cook some recipes together.

Fish Tacos

Any Fish

Corn or Popcorn

Because we need to fill all 4 slots we need to put multiple of these ingredients, I chose to fill the rest with popcorn.

Honey Ham

1 or more Honey Bottles or Honeycomb

More than 1.5 Meats

I put 1 Honey Bottle and the rest meat since I need more than 1.5 Meats (Food Value) and its cheaper to get than Honey Bottles

Hot Cocoa

4 Cocoa Beans

Or

Lesser or equal to 3 Cocoa Beans

Any Diary or Sweetener

I decided to use 3 cocoa beans and 1 DIary since its cheaper.

Vegetable Stinger

Any Frozen

1 Toma Root

2.0 Veggies

Breakfast Millet

1.0 or more Eggs

1.0 of more veggies

Remember, we need to fill all 4 slots

Priority

Priority is very technical concept in CrockPot meant to make it the mod work properly but it might cause recipes to give a different result,this means that even when you follow the recipe perfectly, maybe because you used turtle eggs instead of normal eggs you might get a different recipe.

These are just little happy accidents, to avoid it without getting into complex technicism use common materials in your recipes and if you still get a different result than expected try to learn from it, cooking is all about learning from mistakes.

You can check the time it takes to cook a meal at the bottom left corner of the recipe.

Quick Set-up

Every Crockpot can only hold 1 finished dish, meaning that you need to empty it to cook the next even if you already have the recipe blueprint ready and the crockpot full of its ingredients, it will not cook.

To easily solve this problematic just put a hopper under it and connect the hopper to a chest, this will allow you to fill the crockpot with ingredients and automatize the cooking process.
