The Gold Fern is a rare drop that exist in the Gold Sun Fern Leaf and the Gold Ice Fern Leaf variants, you can use it to craft potions of heat inmunity (Gold Ice Fern Leaf) and cold inmunity (Gold Hot Fern Leaf).

These potions are not needed to visit the Nether or the End.

There is a 1/100 chances of a Ice Fern Bush or a Sun Fern Bush to, when fully grown suddenly turn golden. You can also naturally find them in the wilderness.
